After winning gushing accolades for their downtown dining den devoted to globetrotting dipping sauces, Vesta Dipping Grill executive chef Matt Selby and owners Josh and Jen Wolkon have added another notch to their belt with Steuben's, slated for a July debut in the uber-hip Uptown neighborhood. Housed in a converted auto-body garage with the bays still in tact, the comfortably stylish spot touts a regional American roster of familiar favorites - deviled eggs, crisp-skinned fried chicken with mashed potatoes and gravy, lobster rolls, Cuban sadwiches, and pencil-thin French fries served in wax paper. There's nothing particulaly groundbreaking on the menu, but the old-fashioned lineup trumpets the kind of nostalgic nirvana that never goes out of fashion, especially when you add curbside tackout service (now, that is novel), stainless steel accents strewn throughout the purposefully unpretentious dining room, and urbanized patio, and late-night hours.
